The Reception and Lounge celebrates a modern Art-deco style.
The Lounge hosts guest each day from 2 to 5pm with a variety of Thai canapes and excellent fruit mocktail.

The room follows the smart Art-Deco style. A large spa bath with rain shower. And super soft beds relax you in the evening.
Ross Restaurant
Smart tropical style cafe/restaurant overlooks the pool on the 12th floor. Breakfast with a very extensive selection is served here each morning. In the evening there is some very good set meals to chose from for two or four people to share.
Roof Top Pool
There is always the opportunity to cool off in the pool and to relax with a drink and snack. spectacular views during the day and night.
Roof Top Bar
There is great competition though Bangkok to attract visitors to sample their exotic cocktails in their spectacular roof top bar. Akara’s roof top bar is modest is size and facilities. There is no entry fee and they have similar selection of cocktails.
I was very surprised and delighted that Akara Hotel meet my expectations. The decor is well thought out with an eclectic mix of modern and Art deco style. We had a really spacious room with a jacuzzi bath, separate shower and separate toilet. Marble and wooden floors with rugs made it really homely and comfortable. In the afternoon we return to the hotel to take the opportunity to sample delicious snacks which was served in the Lounge above the Reception. Then took the opportunity for a swim in the pool on the 12th floor before going out for sinner.
I can highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again on my return.
Although there was a railway station nearby, because of the heat we chose to take a Uber, more so because the fares were very reasonable
